le 4 novembre 2010

Bonjour,

Although I'm still home sick with the flu and won't be back until Monday, I wanted to check in and give an update on things that are going on in class and work that needs to be completed in the days ahead.

Français: please continue reading every day in French. There are lots of new French books in the classroom that you can sign out to read for this month's cahier de lecture. I will be giving back your Oct. cahier de lecture on Monday with feedback so that you can get an idea of where your strengths are and what you can focus on for this month.

Sciences Humaines: There will be time tomorrow to finish editing your paragraphs and to work on the good copy (if you haven't begun it already). The good copy will be due in class on Monday. Even if you complete it during class on Friday, take a look at it over the weekend to catch minor grammatical errors.

Maths: Review multiplying decimals by tenths, hundredths and thousandths as well as by tens, hundreds and thousands as we will be having a quiz at some point next week (probably Tuesday or Wednesday depending on how confident everyone is feeling with this concept).

Science: On Monday, Make sure to bring the notes you took from the "Jungle" Planet Earth film we watch earlier this week as I would like to review some of the plant and animal adaptations we learned about.

I'm looking forward to hearing how well everyone modeled the five practices with Ms Fontaine not to mention all the things you've been up to while I've been away.

Passez une très bonne fin de semaine et à lundi,

Mme Couture
