Science: review protist information (we will have a quiz on Friday and complete our review Wednesday).

Maths: please bring completed temperature data for tomorrow's class.

Continue project work especially if your drafts are not completed (your high quality rough draft should have been finished for today).

A demain,

Mme Couture

Bonjour,

Just a reminder to make sure you bring your self evaluation of the five practices to class tomorrow along with your 'student-led' conference quizzes.

We have PE tomorrow so remember your gym strip. A reminder that there will be no 6/7 girls or boys volleyball practice due to student-led conferences and that we have early dismissal (after Block 4).

Devoirs:

Projects: continue working on your projects. Remember to bring your work to class so you can use class time effectively. If work is on the computer, it might be an idea to save it to a memory stick so it can be worked on at school. Another option is to printed completed drafts so that work can be peer edited.

Scholastic orders are due Feb. 1st (next Tuesday)

Make sure that Constructeur de Connexion and the Science lab report are submitted tomorrow if they were not handed in today.

Bonjour,

Thank-you for bringing your responses regarding the Cirque de Soleil performance. There is enough interest to persue purchasing tickets but as the informational letter states, tickets must be purchased in advance and any fundraising monies gathered at a later date will be evenly distributed back to participating students.
In order to ensure ticket availability, tickets will be purchased this Wednesday (the 19th) for the June 24th 3:30opm show ONLY FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE SUBMITTED PAYMENT. Cheques can be made out to Lansdowne Middle School in the amount of 74.00$. Apologies for the short notice but this show sells out quickly!

Devoirs:

Anglais: bring posters (descriptive langugae) and object that you can describe in detail

Projet: Here is a breakdown of due dates for the project:

Research: completed and brought to class

Notes: note taking on the research/information you found on your topic should be completed by Wednesday of this week (some are already finished this stage)

Rough Draft: once detailed and precise notes are completed in French, the rough draft for the finished product can begin. The final version of your rough draft must be completed by January 28th.

Good Copy/Completed Project: February 14th is the date that the project is due. This means that the good copy of any written portions should be completed slightly earlier to allow time for project to be assembled with images and the bibliography etc.

Science: Reminder that our Protist lab is on Wednesday. Please bring pond water samples for Wed. (or tomorrow).

You MUST bring information and project work to class on Monday as we will have a work block in the classroom and without information (either printed from the computer) or in book form, it will be difficult to be productive.

Bonjour,

I hope that this week has been going smoothly despite my absence due to illness. I just wanted to check in and post a few reminders.

Devoirs:

Projects: the researching component for projects should be completed by Friday of this week. This means that information has been gathered, web sources have been recorded in a word document and you are in the process of or have completed taking notes on the information gathered (all notes are in own words and in French). Friday will be our last day dedicated to information gathering in the computer lab.

Please continue to check project plan to ensure that all the information needed to complete project has been obtained.

**Please do not begin writing rough drafts until note taking is complete as I would like to be able to give some feedback before the writing process begins to ensure everyone is on the right track**

Maths: continue reviewing equivalent fractions, reducing fractions and finding percentages of whole numbers (e.g. 20% of 80; 30% of 40; 50% of 90 etc).

Français: Journal de pensées should be completed as well as "illustrateur" and "directeur de discussion" (all relating to "La création du premier guerrier")

Science: Protist poster should be partially completed (more time will be given in class). Our microscope lab (observing protist organisms in pond water or ocean water) will take place next Wed. Another reminder will be given to collect and bring water samples for the lab.
