Science: continue to research extreme environment topics (more time will also be given in class)

Maths: if not already finished, complete questions on reflections of geometrical shapes on the cartesian plane (from Thursday). We will continue with translations on Monday.

Bonjour,

Just a reminder that we still need a few parent drivers for our Thursday field trip to the film "C'est pas moi je le jure". We will be leaving Lansdowne at 12:00pm and leaving Capitol 6 close at 2:30pm. Parents do not need to stay during the film (only drop off and pick up needed).

I am also missing a few permission forms from students. A signed note is ok if the form is lost.

Devoirs:

Please bring PE strip as we may have PE class to replace the PE block we are missing on Thursday (weather permitting as we will be doing Track & Field outside).

Continue working on French oral presentations (due next week). There will be a block tomorrow to work on it.

A demain,

Mme Couture

Remember to bring PE strip tomorrow as we have an added PE block to make up for the one we partially missed today so we could have an extra math session.

Devoirs:

Maths: please complete the work for finding values for x in the equation y = 2x - 6 (don't forget to show work pictorially using one colour to represent +1 and another colour to represent -1 )

Science: make sure to bring science lab notes as there will be time in class tomorrow to work on completing the lab analysis which will be due on Friday.

Maths: we will correct yesterday's homework on Monday so make sure you have finished graphing the equation (on yesterday's post) and show all work when finding values for y

Français: please submit your explanation of Hunger Games/Catching Fire illustration on Monday if you have not already done so AND continue to research for oral presentation if you are missing examples and facts.

Hockey Draft: Playoff Hockey draft Monday afternoon. You will be able to find out on Sunday which teams are playing each other. Take some time to think about which teams will be advancing (in your opinion) so you can strategically choose players. Prizes will be awarded to regular season hockey draft winners. Bonjour,

I hope everyone had fun on the skating field trip!

Devoirs:

Maths: Find the values for y for one of the following equations (y= 2x-1 OR x2 -2) when x= 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 then graph the values on the cartesian plane. Don't forget to label the points (x,y) and connect them. If the y values go to high, simply follow the pattern when x is -1, -2 etc.

Français: Please continue to research for oral presentations as we will begin writing them as early as tomorrow now that I have conferenced with all students.

Please bring notes or printed facts (in French!)

Maths: review finding values for y when given the value for x in an expression (e.g. find the value for y when x = 0, 1, 2, 3 for the equation 2x + 1 =y. Also try finding the values for y when x = 0, 1, 2, 3 for the equation 3x + 4 = y

* Remember to bring skates and a helmet tomorrow for skating if you have them at home (we leave the school at 12:45pm)
