Sciences Humaines: Complete the thinking web on global perspective and being a citizen (as discussed in class, fully meeting expectations means you have a minimum of four detailled examples for each web (IN FRENCH!!!) ) ---I'm looking for examples of what global perspective looks like (for instance in terms of the environment, education, consumption of goods, pollution, human rights and responsibilities) and what being a citizen means in terms of rights and responsibilities (you can take it further by looking at what it means to be a global citizen in today's world)

Note: Subway lunch order forms for Ms. Kilpatrick's seaquarium fundraiser are due FRIDAY at the absolute latest.

I want to begin by congratulating our class on winning the poster contest! Bravo!!
Reminder to everyone: please remember to bring a change of clothes and appropriate footwear for days when we have PE (Monday, Thursday and Friday)
Devoirs:
Science: Finish the hand out "Les cinq règnes" (includes headings for each kingdom, a coloured image depicting an example of a living thing that is part of each specific kingdom, and a description of what types of living things make up each kingdom)
Français: Review verbs (particularly être, avoir, faire and aller) --Quiz Wednesday

I just wanted to say how great it was to meet students and parents one-on-one last night (however briefly). I hope you enjoyed your visit to our classroom as well as the picnic/dessert/live music time outside.

Science: please finish the questions related to the Planet Earth film we saw today (Deep Ocean)
**bring any late scholastic book orders

Band form is due tomorrow (Thursday) --to be given to Band teachers during Advisory
Math questions are due (handout: p. 3 #1 and p.4 #1-2)
Cahier de lecture: keep up the nightly reading in French (articles, novels, magazines, stories etc) and continue working on the reading activities that are due on October 5th
Bring your gym strip tomorrow as we have éducation physique
Upcoming events:

Meet-the-Teacher/Community Picnic Evening is 5:30-7:30 on September 22

I just wanted to say that I was very impressed with the EXCELLENT posters you created today! Everyone in the class participated in creating the poster and the finished products looks great! It was wonderful to see how well you worked together and the way in which all groups tapped into each students' abilities.
I'm looking forward to sharing your work with the rest of the staff here at Landsdowne!

We can clarify everything over the next few days. I welcome any questions you might have so please don't hesitate to ask.
Please remember to bring your school supplies tomorrow (essential items include a binder, subject dividers, lined paper, pens, pencils, erasers, pencil crayons and felts)
Please also remember the money you need for your combination lock (unless you bring one from home) and money for a school agenda (unless you are bringing one from home). All pricing information is in the package that was sent home today.
