Bonjour,
Devoirs:
PE strip needed for gym tomorrow
Français: continue to research for oral presenation (remember to look for detailed, precise examples that help to develop your topic) We will begin writing the presentations on Friday so make sure you bring your facts to class. There is a link to World Book Encyclopedia on Lansdowne's library webpage.
Sciences Humaines: As you will be beginning a large research project next week on a country of your choice (excluing Canada and the US), it is important to pick a country by Friday of this week. It is also a good idea to review the criteria sheet I handed out today which should be in the Sciences Humaines section of your binder.
Science: For Friday, read over the information page we began looking at today on electricity and atoms.
Maths: Complete the questions from the board (if you require extra practice with solving for a variable).
English: I know there is something due but not sure what? I think it's a brainstorm? Feel free to add a comment to clarify this.
A demain,
Mme Couture

Bonjour,
Unfortunately I am still quite sick this is an early reminder to please bring permission forms in for Friday's field trip if you haven't done so...I've spoken to the students who still need to hand it in (even a note and bus fare will do).
Sciences Humaines: If you have not finished your bibliography, it is essential you do so even if there is no room for it on the poster (I want to see all sources used). All posters should be finished by the end of today tomorrow if they are not already completed. I am very impressed at the attention to detail I am seeing with the presentation of information so far.
Friday Field Trip Reminder: Please arrive by 8:15/8:20 on Friday morning as we will be leaving at or even before the bell if possible so that the buses are not too full.
Lock/Desk Clean-up will be taking place tomorrow (Thursday). Bring an extra bag if you think you have things to take home.
REMINDER: WEAR ORANGE ON FRIDAY FOR HOCKEY DAY!!!!!! (ALLEZ EQUIPE ORANGE!!!!)
Bonne soirée,
Mme Couture

Bonjour,
Devoirs:
Sciences Humaines: if you are missing anything for the poster, please complete and bring to school tomorrow (there will be one more block tomorrow afternoon to assemble the posters). It is essential to bring your documents saved to a memory stick or email them to yourselves (not me as I am sick : ( ) as there could be last minute changes/editing.
Français: Lit circles will take place tomorrow morning first thing. Bring a snack if you are the director and make sure your activity is detailed and completed (bring your novel as well).
Maths: We will be having a quiz on ratio this Wednesday. Review equivalent ratios and the ways in which you can write ratios (e.g. 2:5 or 2 à 5...if it's a "partie-tout ratio", you can also write in a fraction format with the "tout" as the denomintaor (e.g. 2/5).
Reminder to bring PE strip as there is PE after recess.

Bonjour,
Have a safe, productive and enjoyable weekend!
Devoirs:
Sciences Humaines: project is due Monday (make sure to bring your work on a memory stick or email a copy to yourself or me as there might be last minute editing and formatting changes to make). I will give two blocks on Monday for work to be assembled by the group onto poster paper which I will provide.
I am still missing a few maps of Canada. Please bring these on Monday!
Science: handout comparing energy sources was due today. If you have not finished it or it still needs detail added, please complete it for Monday.
Français: Last day of lit. circles will probably be delayed until Tuesday as we need to finish the Social Studies projects. Please have all activities finished for Monday in case we do have time to have our discussion.
Work on finding a topic for oral presentations as well as the sub-topics for the three sections of your presentation (see my post from two days ago for an example of what that might look like).

Bonjour,
Reminder that hockey mask competition closes first thing tomorrow morning so get those hockey mask designs in to me at the bell!
Devoirs:
Maths: Ratio questions (from class today) are due tomorrow (needs to be finished at home if not already completed) as well as calculations from Feb. temperatures.
Sciences Humaines: Good copy of your govt. projects needs to be finished on Monday. We will have a final work block tomorrow but it should be in its final stages (all completed and now only working on editing/corrections). Also, don't forget the bibliography!
Français: today we began oral presentation assignment (homework is to think of a topic and three sub-themes about that topic which you will be discussing in the presentation). Use the hand-out I gave today to organize thinking (also keep in mind the types of topics to choose based on our in-class brainstorm). E.g. nuclear energy, cancer treatments, the effect of literacy/education of the masses on a country's economy, marijuana, energy drinks (e.g. redbull), fast food chains like MacDonalds etc.
Français: finish reading novel and completing activity for Monday's literature circles.
